Is It Legal For A Dealership To Sell A Vehicle With Mismatched Tires?

I bought a Jeep Grand Cherokee in PA. The back tires are old with dry rot (winter off road tires) and the front tires are new (city tires). I want to know if it is legal for the dealership to have sold these to me. They agreed to sell me new tires for the back at the price they get the tires and to waive the labor fee. I don’t think they should have sold me the Jeep without first making all the tires new.

if it is a used vehicle no its not illegal….
didn’t you inspect the jeep prior to your purchase???? If the dealership is willing to work with you your lucky…next time check it out better prior to purchase…
When you buy a used vehicle it is sold AS IS, that means if you don’t say anything before you buy it, then they are not obligated to to fix, change, or replace anything. HENCE THE NAME AS IS. It stinks, but there is no law stopping them. SORRY.
Used vehicle….as is sale. It is your responsibility to demand new tires before you sign the papers.
buyer beware. if you agreed to the purchase they way it was then you agreed to it. you didnt have to say yes. you could have made them change the tires first before you sign. if you didnt notice before, shame on you. its your responsibility to examine what you are about to purchase.
